Welcome to the
Toxic Fuels
campaign
Toxic Fuels, our campaign with WWF-UK, aims to combat the shocking global trend of extracting oil from unconventional sources, such as tar sands and shale oil. Such exploitation threatens global efforts to avoid dangerous levels of climate change and risks local ecological disaster.
Support the
Beaver Lake Cree Nation
The Beaver Lake Cree Nation - an indigenous community in Alberta, Canada - has seen its traditional lands degraded by large scale tar sands developments in Alberta, Canada. They have launched a legal challenge against the Canadian and Albertan governments, which we view as perhaps the last and best chance we have to stop the expansion of these toxic fuels.
Help us spread the word
We're reaching out to new audiences to spread the word about the impact of toxic fuels, such as tar sands and shale oil, on the environment and indigenous communities.
